No Knead Deep Dish Pizza

No kneading? No problem--this tender, tasty deep dish pizza doesn’t "knead" it!

Deep Dish Pizza


Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups lukewarm water
  • 3 1/4 cups Pizza Perfect Blend (from KAF) or 2 3/4 cups all-purpose Flour + 1/2 cup
  • semolina flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Pizza Dough Flavor (optional from KAF)
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup of your favorite pizza sauce
  • 2 teaspoons mixed Italian herbs
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheese of your choice
  • additional toppings of your choice


Directions

Yield: six large pieces

  1. Grease (or oil with olive oil) a 9 x 13-inch or 12 x 12 inch pan. Mix and stir the dough ingredients together to form a slightly sticky soft dough. Let the dough rise, covered, for 30 minutes, then place it in the pan. Let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes, then pat and stretch it to cover the bottom of the pan. Let it rest, covered, for 30 minutes.
  2. Spread the pizza with the sauce, and bake it in a preheated 425°F oven for 15 minutes. Remove it from the oven, and add the seasoning, cheese, and toppings. Return it to the oven and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are golden brown.

 

Nutrition information per serving (1 piece with sauce and cheese, 179g): 430 cal, 14g fat, 17g protein, 60g total carbohydrate, 2g sugar, 6g dietary fiber, 25mg cholesterol, 1260mg sodium.
