Please tell us a little bit about yourself.
I'm a retired College professor who is just now learning to bake. And I love it. Although I have made bread for years, it was always with a machine. Now I know how comforting it is to mix and knead the dough by hand.
What can readers find on Tea and Scones?
Readers can find bread but also some southern recipes, desserts, and just attempts to try new things and become a better cook and baker.
What is your blog address?

What is your favorite bread to make and why?
Since this all new to me I am learning how to make all kinds of breads - artisan, comfort food types, ethnic. I want to try them all.
I love making challah, but have been very intrigued by focaccia bread. Once I have 'mastered' (and I use that term loosely) I like to add extra ingredients and see what happens.
If you could summarize Bread making into one quote, what would it be?
Baking bread is like raising children. You add ingredients together, nurture them, mold them, and watch them grow. Then you leave them on their own to become what they should be.
