Please tell us a little bit about yourself.
Up until last year, yeast scared me, almost more than teenagers. I've come a long way in bread baking by baking my way through Peter Reinhart's Bread Baker's Apprentice.
What can readers find on The Other Side of Fifty?
Readers can find many recipes on my blog along with a few personal anecdotal thoughts and ramblings. I typically blog about bread at least twice a month.
Right now I'm focusing on tried-and-true bread recipes, just to learn technique, but my goal is to make the majority of my breads whole grain.

What is your favorite bread to make and why?
My favorite bread to make is Italian bread because I've made it enough times that I never screw it up anymore. (never=rarely)
If you could summarize Bread making into one quote, what would it be?
Regular bread-baking will increase your self confidence and save you thousands of dollars in therapy sessions.
