BYOB: December 2010 Roundup

It’s December! You know what that means…it’s time for Holiday baking.   The Holidays are such a great time for baking, but then anytime is a great time for baking as far as I’m concerned. The BYOB bakers have been baking all year long so this gives us another good excuse to bake bread and other delicious treats.

Bake Your Own Bread (BYOB) is a yearlong adventure in baking bread.  The idea behind BYOB is to bake your own bread and other baked goods throughout the year rather than buying them at the market or bakery.

Let’s take a look at the breads and other baked goods the BYOB Bakers made in November.  Put on some Holiday music and enjoy these delicious delights.

Apu of Annarasa – Essence of Food starts us off with some Southern Buttermilk Biscuits.  Being from the South, I’m partial to these biscuits myself. I think I’ll go make some.

Our yearlong adventure in baking is drawing to a close for 2010, but everyone enjoyed it so much, we’re going to continue the fun in 2011. Thanks again to Sandy of At the Baker’s Bench for starting this wonderful adventure.  I’m happy to be continuing the tradition.

We’d love for you to join us next year.  If you’re interested in joining BYOB, just send me a note via the contact us link at the top of this blog.

Remember, December breads will be showcased in January.  So go bake some bread and other delights so we can drool over them next month.

BYOB!

Man! I love this. As an aspiring housewife, I’ll need to learn to make bread! But, to my credit, I know how to make biscuits and cornbread from scratch! That’s more then some… hehe
