BYOB March 2011 Roundup

The BYOB Bakers have been busy again baking bread, bread and more bread and other baked goods.  I love it!  I continue to be amazed by all of the fabulous and creative bakers out there. This month, some more wonderful bakers have joined the adventure.

Frieda of Frieda Loves Bread holds a giveaway at the beginning of every month for her local FB friends.  The winner gets a bread of their choice baked and delivered to their home (within a 30 minute drive).  This month’s winner chose light and tender doughnuts, made with potatoes.  Don’t you wish you lived within 30 minutes of her?

Heather of Girlichef made some delicious variety of breads and a tutorial on “How to make your own sourdough starter”.  Great idea!  She said, “it’s not really a bread, but pretty relevant, I think”.  I agree.  She named her starter Sally.  I like that!

Cat of Buttery Bakery made some divine baked goods this month. That molten chocolate cake is to die for and the brownie crisp, oh my!  Well, February was Chocolate Lover’s Month so she definitely had it covered.  She also made some healthy whole wheat bread to offset all of that chocolate.
