Wheat Bread Recipe for Bread Machine

Home > Whole Grain Breads > Whole Wheat Bread

This 100% whole wheat bread recipe can be made completely in the bread machine. Or, let the machine mix and knead the dough, then shape the dough by hand. Place it in a loaf pan for the final rise. Then bake it in a conventional oven at 350 degrees F.

Wheat Bread Recipe for Bread Machine:

Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups water
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
4 cups whole wheat flour
3 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder
1 tablespoon wheat gluten
2 teaspoons Bread Machine Yeast

Directions:
Makes: 2 pound loaf

Add ingredients to bread machine pan in the order suggested by manufacturer.

Select basic/white bread or whole wheat bread cycle; medium/normal color setting.
