No Knead Harvest Bread

This yeast bread recipe makes a harvest bread that is especially good for dipping in seasoned olive oil. No kneading is required for this easy batter bread recipe!

No Knead Harvest Bread

Ingredients:
3 cups flour
1 envelope RapidRise Yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons Chives
1 tablespoon Parsley
1-3/4 teaspoons Poultry Seasoning
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon salt
1-1/4 cups warm water (120º to 130ºF)
2 tablespoons butter OR margarine
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon Celery Seed

Directions:

Makes: 8 to 10 servings
Prep Time: 15 min
Rise Time: 45 min

Bake Time: 30 Min

Mix 2 cups flour, undissolved yeast, sugar, chives, parsley, poultry seasoning, garlic powder and salt in a large mixing bowl. Combine hot water and butter; stir to melt butter. Add to dry ingredients. Mix in enough of the remaining 1 cup of flour to make a very thick batter. Transfer batter into a greased 1-1/2 quart casserole; turn once to grease top of loaf.

Cover and let rise until double (about 45 minutes).

Brush beaten egg on loaf (you will not use entire egg). Sprinkle with celery seed. Bake at 375ºF for 30 minutes or until top is golden and loaf sounds hollow when tapped. Let cool for 10 minutes; remove from dish and finish cooling on wire rack.
